The actor says he never officially stated it would begin in 2010

THE SKINNY: While rumors have circulated that DARK KNIGHT actor Gary Oldman let the ball drop about the production for the third BATMAN film was going to begin in 2010.
 

He clarified what he said to iF Magazine. And that’s basically … that there is no confirmation.
 
“Someone asked me [about the third BATMAN film] and I said, ‘I don’t know, next year? Two years away? It could be three years away.’”
