THE SKINNY: Warner Bros. Pictures’ New Line Cinema held the World Premiere of GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on April 27th.
As usual the street across from the Grauman’s was lined with fans and they screamed as the stars arrive.
The GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST is a different spin of Dickens classic CHRISTMAS CAROL. Whereas Ebeneezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts. In GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST celebrity photographer Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey) loves freedom, fun and women…in that order. He is a committed bachelor, but on the eve of his brothers Paul’s wedding Connor’s mockery of romance proves a real buzz-kill for Paul, the wedding party and a houseful of well wishers, which include Connor’s childhood friend Jenny (Jennifer Garner). Jenny is the one woman in his life who has always seemed immune to his considerable charm. Things are not looking good as Connor may just single-handedly ruin the wedding, but that changes when he gets a wake-up call from the ghost of his late Uncle Wayne (Michael Douglas), who was a legendary ladies man and whose exploits Connor has modeled his lifestyle after. Uncle Wayne has an urgent message for his protégé, which he delivers through the ghosts of Connor’s jilted girlfriends - past, present and future.
Seen walking the carpet were the stars of the film: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Michael Douglas, Emma Stone, Lacey Chabert, Breckin Meyer, Robert Forster, Anne Archer, Noureen DeWulf, Rachel Boston, Camille Guaty, Amanda Walsh, Noa Tishby, Devin Brochu, Logan Miller, Christa B. Allen, Kasey Russell, writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore, and Director Mark Waters.
Joining them were guests: Marisa Miller, Debby Ryan, Bai Ling, Mishka, Matt Lanter, Michael Copon, Ashley Edner and her brother Bobby, Deborah Kaplan, Rubria Negrao, Jean Louisa Kelly, Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon, Peter Facinelli, Camilla Alves and Cole Hauser.
