THE SKINNY: iF just got word that John Carpenter is directing again.
Nu Image/Millennium Films are going into production on a film called SCARED STRAIGHT. It will star … Nicolas Cage and start lensing in Fall 2008. This is the same project that was previously set up at New Line Cinemas in 2006 with Rob Cohen as director.
The production synopsis is as follows:
A group of juvenile delinquents are trapped inside a prison as part of the "Scared Straight" program when a large-scale riot breaks out, and it is up to inmate Karl Rix to save the kids.
Sounds like he’s getting back to his ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13 roots. Could be cool.
